Eating Laksa in Wellington, the Capital of New Zealand(Gourmet Exploration Series – Laksa Bowl No. 4)
Hello everyone, this is Chietomonji.
Today, I’d like to share a laksa tasting report from Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, about 800 km south of Auckland.
The restaurant I visited is KK Malaysian Restaurant. If you live in Auckland and enjoy Malaysian food, this name probably sounds familiar—yes, it’s the same name as the long-established KK Malaysian in Auckland.
I’m not sure whether they are part of the same group, but without hesitation, I decided to step inside.
The menu looks like this, featuring a wide lineup of classic Malaysian dishes.
The restaurant has about seven to eight tables, and it was fairly quiet today.
I ordered my target dish: Curry Laksa (Chicken).
After waiting about five minutes, the bowl was brought to the table.
It was very delicious and thoroughly enjoyable.
I did think that toppings like fried shallots or fried onions, as well as bean sprouts, might have enhanced the flavors even more.
Still, it was a bowl that made me want to come back again.
